Welcome

to the 9th European Conference on Case-Based Reasoning
09.08.2007

Welcome to the 9th European Conference on Case-Based Reasoning. ECCBR 2008 is following a series of successful European conferences and workshops. This four-day conference will be held at the University of Trier, Germany. 15 years after the First European Conference on Case-Based Reasoning in the European Academy Otzenhausen, which is very close to Trier, this conference will especially be devoted to the past, present, and future of case-based reasoning.

Reflecting this, we will introduce two focus areas, namely CBR in Healthcare and The role of CBR in the Future Internet. In addition, the programme will include the Computer Cooking Contest (CCC) intended as a CBR system competition (see separate call) demonstrating the application of case retrieval, adaptation, and combination methods for cooking recipes.

The conference programme will consist of invited talks, oral and poster presentations as well as workshops (see separate calls) on both fundamental and applied research in CBR.

The Industry Day will focus on industrial-strength technology and industrial applications of CBR.
